Does the person I send it to need the app?
Yes, they open their doors in the free Advent Dares app on iPhone or Android. Your invite link takes them straight there.
When does each door open?
At midnight in their own time zone, one door per day, starting on the date you choose (December 1 by default). Their time zone is locked when they accept, so changing the clock won't open doors early.
Can they see the dares in advance?
No. Each dare stays hidden until its door opens. Even the morning reminder only says a door is open, never what the dare is.
What if they miss a day or don't want to do a dare?
Open doors stay open, so they can catch up. Any dare can be skipped, and the recap shows it as skipped. No drama.
Who can see the photos?
Only the two of you. Photos are stored privately and shown through links that expire. If you want to share them, they have to allow it first; otherwise photos are blurred.
What if the AI gets it wrong?
After three tries they can send the photo anyway, and you decide. It shows as "Unverified" so you can be the judge.
Is it only for couples?
Not at all. It works for best friends, siblings, long-distance partners, anyone who'd laugh at a daily dare.
