Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Zembraa Digital, a company registered in Tunisia ("we", "us"), for the Advent Dares app and website. By using the app you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. One account per person.
2. How it works
A creator writes dares for one recipient. Starting on a chosen date, one door opens each day at midnight in the recipient's time zone. The recipient proves each dare with a photo, which our AI checks. Creating a calendar is free. Sending it costs a one-time in-app purchase (currently $2.99 or the local equivalent), shown before you pay.
3. Purchases
- Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms. Each purchase sends one calendar.
- If a payment succeeds but sending fails, the app lets you finish sending without paying again.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory consumer rights.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the dares and photos you create. You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, process (including with AI) and display them, only to operate the app for you and the other person in the calendar. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies you or others already shared.
5. Content rules
Dares and photos must not:
- put anyone at real risk of injury (stunts, heights, traffic, fire, extreme cold or exercise);
- be sexual or explicit, or ask for nudity or revealing photos;
- involve alcohol, drugs or other substances, weapons, self-harm, starving or purging;
- be illegal, or involve trespassing, theft or vandalism;
- humiliate, harass or target anyone, or share other people's private information without consent.
We check dares and photos automatically and may block or remove content that breaks these rules. Dares are always optional: never do one that feels unsafe. Every door can be skipped.
6. Sharing and consent
Proof photos show the recipient, so the recipient decides whether the creator may share them. Without that consent, the app blurs the photos on anything the creator shares. Only share content you have the right to share, and respect the people in it.
7. Safety, reports and blocks
You can report a calendar or block a person from the calendar screen or Settings. We review reports and may remove content, block features or close accounts that break these terms. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
8. AI and availability
AI verification is a playful judge, not a guarantee: it can be wrong in either direction. We work to keep the app available, but it is provided "as is", without warranties to the extent the law allows, and features may change.
9. Liability
You take part in dares voluntarily and at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what users do, write or share. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Apple and Google
These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, and we, not they, are responsible for the app and its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms for iOS users and may enforce them. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on a U.S. government list of restricted parties.
11. Changes and law
We may update these terms; we will change the date above and tell you in the app about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Tunisia, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim there.
